Millwright – Afternoon Shift

HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a top manufacturing company in the Vaughan area who needs to hire a Millwright for a straight afternoon shift opportunity. The ideal candidate will have previous experience repairing machinery in a manufacturing setting.

Our client, a world class manufacturer, is currently seeking a Millwright for their Vaughan facility (Afternoon Shift).

Work Setting: On Site

Shift Schedule: Afternoon. May be required to work overtime or adjust hours based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine appropriate maintenance and repair procedures.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Apply strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to support equipment reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Execute welding and fabrication tasks as required.
• Support production operations by assisting across departments and working overtime when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• College or technical certification with a minimum of 5 years of related mechanical maintenance experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to manage diverse maintenance challenges.
• Hands-on experience in welding and fabrication.
• Flexibility to work overtime and support additional operational needs.
