Division: R&D – Coatings & Surface Technologies
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Travel: <20% (Global)

Role Summary

Serves as a subject matter expert in e-coating, pretreatment, and powder coating, providing technical leadership, innovation, and problem-solving support across global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Limited supervisory experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support across global operations, including program launches and new facility setups
• Interface with customers and suppliers, interpret technical specifications, and communicate engineering findings effectively
• Lead development and implementation of new coating technologies, including R&D initiatives, testing, and DOE activities
• Analyze process and engineering data to drive product improvements, ensure compliance, and optimize performance
• Conduct audits and support process monitoring to maintain quality and operational standards
• Coordinate global knowledge sharing on best practices, process improvements, and emerging technologies
• Develop business cases, RFQs, and project updates to support decision-making and continuous improvement
• Deliver training, establish procedures, and document lessons learned to enhance organizational capability
