The Engineering Manager oversees the engineering and quality teams, guiding them in the design, implementation, and enhancement of manufacturing processes and systems. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and effectively managing resources and budgets. Works collaboratively to streamline operations and improve overall workflow.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Guide, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, technicians, and support staff.
  • Oversee performance management, conduct evaluations, and provide training opportunities. Ensure the team adheres to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows.
  • Foster a Quality First culture across all departments.
  • Identify and implement automation and other process improvements to reduce production costs, improve cycle times, and enhance product quality.

 

 

Required Skills & Expertise:

  •  5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, demonstrating strong leadership and process improvement skills within a metal welding environment.
  • Experience Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, technicians, and other support staff.
  • Experience Managing performance, conduct evaluations, and providing training opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  •  In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  •  Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  •  Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, and other manufacturing tools.
  •  Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
