Machinist

Our client, a world leader in metal manufactured equipment is currently recruiting for a Machinist.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Licensed Machinist and/or Tool and Die Maker.
• Comprehensive knowledge of fabrication processes.
• 2-5 years of prior experience in a custom machining environment.
• Skilled in interpreting blueprints and sketches.
• Experienced in operating and programming 3/5 axis CNC machines.
• Familiar with SolidWorks, Mastercam, Edgecam, and AutoCAD software.
• Proficient with Okuma, Siemens, and Heidenhain CNC controls.
• Expertise in CNC programming languages, including G-code and M-code.
• Must be flexible to work either days 6:00am to 2:00pm or afternoons 2:00pm to 10:00pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and arrange for repairs when necessary.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate mechanical and operational problems.
• Set up and load raw materials or die sections into the machine.
• Create, modify, and repair precision tools, jigs, and fixtures based on specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Program and operate CNC machines using Mastercam software with provided CAD data.
• Collaborate with CAD specialists and toolmakers to refurbish, enhance, and produce spare parts.
