Operations Manager

HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a top manufacturing company in the Aurora, Ontario area who needs to hire an Operations Manager. They are looking for someone who has previous experience as an Operations Manager or as Plant Manager while being employed with an automotive stamping/welding manufacturing company. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience as an Operations Manager or as a Plant Manager while being employed with an Automotive Stamping/Welding manufacturing company
• Technical education in relevant field (for example, Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, Maintenance, etc.)
• Experience managing managers. This could include Maintenance, Production, Tooling, Logistics, etc.
• Good working knowledge of Automotive Core Tools: SPC, MSA, APQP, FMEA, PPAP

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Look for areas to improve production and reduce costs while ensuring quality standards are met and employees can work in a safe manner
• Implement corrective actions to reduce waste or overtime
• Visible through an “on the floor” presence.
• Actively promotes a culture of continuous improvement
• Maintains a positive, productive, and communicative team-based work environment
• Develops systems and processes which track and optimize productivity standards,
• Develops, monitors, and executes plant manufacturing budgets
