Quality Engineer
Our client is a successful metal fabrication company with a long history of providing quality products for a variety of industries. They are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for their Stratford Plant.

Responsibilities:
- Create and sustain inspection methods and documentation, including CMM programs.
- Ensure adherence to customer and company standards and specifications.
- Oversee the quality of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to identify any issues.
- Conduct dimensional assessments of parts using suitable equipment, gauges, and fixtures, ensuring they are calibrated correctly before use.
- Track process, product, and quality system performance in line with relevant standards and procedures, and report any concerns through the Corrective Action process.
- Assist all departments in gathering dimensional data.
- Compile and maintain test data.
- Analyze data and prepare reports, highlighting any deviations from established standards.
- Assemble PPAP/First Article submissions for assigned programs.
Requirements:
- A university degree or post-secondary education in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality-related role.
- Strong knowledge of the fundamentals, principles, and management of quality functions.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality assurance techniques.
- Experience in quality-related auditing processes.
- Must have experience in weld inspection according to ASME standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, shipping/receiving software, and internally developed Quality Assurance software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform first article inspections
