Architectural Fabrication Associate

Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-focused Production Associate to support mold fabrication within a custom manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in producing molds used to create architectural components such as panels, trim, columns, and decorative features. Success in this role requires strong craftsmanship, technical accuracy, and a working knowledge of mold making materials and processes.

Key Responsibilities
•  Review technical drawings and CAD files to build precise and production ready molds
•  Construct molds using a variety of materials including wood, fiberglass, silicone, urethane, and metal
•  Perform repairs and routine maintenance on molds to support consistent output
•  Partner with engineering, design, and production teams to improve mold functionality and ease of manufacturing
•  Verify that molds meet required dimensional, structural, and visual standards
•  Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
•  Keep the mold making area clean, organized, and efficient
•  Track mold details, adjustments, and maintenance activities
•  Follow all safety, quality, and procedural guidelines during fabrication activities

Qualifications
•  Minimum 1–3 years of experience in carpentry, woodworking, or a related trade
•  Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications
•  Experience with CNC equipment is considered an asset
•  Strong attention to detail and pride in high quality workmanship
•  Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
•  Physically capable of handling tools, materials, and extended periods of standing

Additional Skills That Are an Asset
•  Understanding of casting methods such as concrete, resin, or plaster
•  Awareness of architectural detailing, finishes, and design styles

Work Environment
•  Manufacturing, studio or workshop setting
•  Exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations
•  Personal protective equipment is required
