Job Title: Toolroom Manager
Location: South of London ON
Position Type: Full-time, In person.

Position Summary:

The Toolroom Manager is responsible for leading a team of approximately 20 tool and die professionals while ensuring all tooling, dies, and related equipment meet production requirements. The ideal candidate is a certified Tool and Die Maker with strong leadership experience, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
This role oversees maintenance, repair, and optimization of tooling assets, manages budgets and schedules, and ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The position requires a hands‑on leader who thrives in both office and workshop environments and is comfortable spending regular time on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations
• Lead and manage a team of tool and die personnel, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and improvement of tools, dies, and equipment.
• Plan and manage budgets, schedules, and resources to meet production targets.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend tool life.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Certified Tool and Die Maker.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a technical or manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
• Proven experience managing teams, budgets, and production resources.
• Strong understanding of tooling maintenance, repair processes, and production support.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Working Environment
• Split between office and workshop settings.
• Regular time spent on the shop floor supporting operations and team members.
