Robotic Weld Technician

Our client, a division of a world-class manufacturer, is looking for a Robotic Weld Technician for their Vaughan-area facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain wire welding robots (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic)
• Optimize welding parameters and improve weld conditions
• Perform preventative maintenance on spot welders, MIG welders, and related equipment
• Respond to breakdowns and prioritize calls with area leaders
• Assist in training operators and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate records in computerized maintenance systems

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Robotics or Automation
• Experience in MIG, Stick, and TIG welding
• Certification in robot programming (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic); Medar programming experience preferred
• Ability to create and modify robot programs
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
• PLC knowledge and programming considered an asset
• Experience in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing preferred
